I had two patients related to
each other: a 10-year-old boy and his grandfather.
I had finished with the boy
and was already examining his grandfather when I heard the boy sing in falsetto
(the boy was also dancing).
I told the boy there’s money
in singing, not in dancing.
The boy suddenly performed a
body wave dance and said, “Mas gusto ko sayaw. Gusto ko maging call boy. (I like dancing better. I want to be a call boy).”
His grandparents (the
grandmother was also there) and I laughed.
Where did a 10-year-old boy
get that idea? In Fuckbook perhaps. Oh well.
The boy is handsome (I rarely
see handsome patients in that clinic) and very friendly. Whether he wants to be a call boy or
something else in the future, I think he will succeed.
